Peppol order (BIS Ordering)

A Peppol order is a structured purchase order sent over the network using the BIS Ordering specification. The receiving supplier can answer with an order response, accepting, rejecting or amending the order — fully machine-readable.

Beyond invoicing, Peppol carries the full procurement cycle. The order document lets buyers send purchase orders directly into suppliers’ systems; combined with the order response, despatch advice and invoice it forms an end-to-end automated flow (order → confirm → ship → invoice) with no e-mail or PDF in between.
