Peppol MLR — message level response

An MLR (message level response) is the technical receipt on Peppol — the receiving side reports whether a document passed schema and business-rule validation. It says "your file is processable", not "we accept your invoice"; that's the invoice response's job.

Three layers of confirmation exist on the network, in order: the AS4 receipt (transport: the bytes arrived), the MLR (syntax/rules: the document validates), and the invoice response (business: accepted or rejected). Mature integrations consume all three to drive retry logic and status dashboards automatically.
